# 2 Cabinetry

There are three general types of cabinetry for you to consider. Some vendors have a hybrid solution placing them in more than one of the below categories. If your considering new cabinets we can help you select the best type for your project - below are considerations.

Custom Cabinetry

Custom cabinetry is designed specifically for your space, ensuring every inch is utilized efficiently. The benefits of custom are:

Unique Design: You have full control over the design, materials, finishes, and hardware, allowing for a truly personalized look.

High-Quality Craftsmanship: Custom cabinets are crafted by skilled woodworkers, ensuring high-quality construction and attention to detail.

Flexibility: You can accommodate unique architectural features, specific storage needs, or room layouts.

Increased Home Value: Well-designed custom cabinetry can enhance the value and appeal of your home, especially in upscale markets.

Custom cabinetry can be the real jewel in the crown of high end custom homes.

Semi Custom Cabinetry

When your thinking about how to budget for your renovation or new build project, there are little decisions that can make a significant impact to your bottom line. One of which is using semi-custom cabinetry. Semi-custom offers some level of customization at a more affordable price point than fully custom options. With semi-custom you still get:

Variety of Styles: Each brand has a wide range of styles, finishes, and accessories to choose from, allowing for some personalization.

Higher Quality Than Stock: While not fully customized, semi-custom cabinets are typically of higher quality than stock cabinets, with more options for materials and features.

Faster Delivery: Lead times are usually shorter compared to fully custom cabinets, making semi-custom a more time-efficient option.

We have some clients who choose to do custom cabinetry in the main area’s of their home and semi-custom cabinetry in lesser seen or lesser used rooms in their homes.

Drop in Cabinetry

Drop-in cabinets, also known as stock cabinets, are the most budget-friendly option, however they can play an important roll in home remodels.

Quick Installation: Since they are pre-made and readily available, installation is fast and easy, making them ideal for tight project timelines.

Standard Sizing: Drop-in cabinets come in standard sizes which can be limiting.

Warranty Coverage: Most stock cabinets come with warranties, offering some protection against defects or damage.

Drop ins are great for powder rooms, pool houses and smaller areas. Some vendors have great options that come with counter tops, backsplash and sinks, putting them in the semi-custom range.
